The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), founded in 1976, is North America's oldest and most respected professional society of home inspectors. ASHI's goals have always been to build customer awareness of the importance of a quality home inspection and enhance the professionalism of home inspectors.
CAHI ( Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors)-Connecticut
This organization of home inspectors from Connecticut and adjoining states was formed in 1991 with the sole purpose of providing continuous education and group discussion of common concerns amongst its members. The organization has grown from it's humble beginnings to become the largest home inspection organization in Connecticut. Our enduring goal is to provide the home inspection industry in Connecticut with a continuous education program that will enhance the knowledge of its members to better serve the community.
CIA ( Champions Inspection Association) -Texas
Goals of the Champion Inspectors Association
| 1. | Provide information on continuing education programs. |
| 2. | Lobby for errors and ommissions insurance per inspection. |
| 3. | Group advertising / marketing / promotion. |
| 4. | Provide a social environment that fosters a lateral support system ie: over booking, vacations. |
| 5. | To require above minimum / average standards of practice. |
| 6. | Lobby to require all real estate transactions, new / resales to have property inspections. |
| 7. | Provide referral services. |
| 8. | Assist in networking with other Real Estate professionals ie: Agents, WDI Inspectors, Pool Inspectors, Insurance campanies, Alarm Companies, Builders, manufactures and Government Officials. |

| 10. | Challenge all members to be the trend setters for the industry. |

NAHI ( National Association of Home Inspectors)- National
The National Association of Home Inspectors, Inc. (NAHI) was established in 1987 as a nonprofit association to promote and develop certified and licensed home inspectors in the professional home inspection industry.
